For each Lexicon below, you'll notice barcharts that map the number of entries per turn. The original goal was to determine if there was a regular ebb and flow to expect from gameplay. However, since nearly every Lexicon has a different metric of what a "turn" is (how long they last, how many entries can be written, whether a turn is single or multiple letters, whether turns progress alphabetically, etc.), the barcharts can no longer fulfill their intent. We have not yet determined what they do reveal (if anything), and they may eventually be removed entirely.

Ghyll is a world created solely by the players as the Lexicon is played: there were no preconceptions, planned genres, or previous source material to go on before the game started. Things quickly shaped up and merged during the first two turns (comprising nearly 40 entries). The current technology level is "roughly one of humorous fantasy", but there are often bleak undertones as demonstrated in entries such as the Agony uncle, Doggerel plague, and Justice Device. Note: LexiconTheRPG.com and these Lexicon pages are hosted by the same folks behind Ghyll. Since this Lexicon is ongoing (and intended indefinitely) counts and barchart are based on completed entries as of July 29th, 2005.

Green is a Lexicon from the future. In 2085 C.E., scholars of the earth gathered on the EcoNet to chronicle the events in Lexicon form that led them and their world to the Green planet it now is, populated with various factions of Gaean Languages speaking Gaeans, who now speak with the rock, the trees, the animals, the rivers, the sky, in meaningful and consensual dialogue and prepare for the next earthly visit of the representatives of the Consortium of Interdependent Beings, a galactic federation of peoples aware of their responsibilities to the living worlds they inhabit.

The stars and their constellations are important to the Cabal. While the Zodiac and most importantly the decans have primacy in their magic and cosmology still all constellations have some degree of importance and wars have been fought over the symbolic importance of the sky. At its first meeting in 1922, the International Astronomical Union (IAU), astronomy's governing body which is responsible for assigning names to celestial objects and features on those objects, officially adopted the list of 88 constellations that we use today. Definitive boundaries between constellations, which extend out beyond the star figures, were set in 1930, so that every star, nebula, or galaxy, no matter how faint, now lies within the limits of one constellation. This Lexicon is about those constellations (and those constellations that are no longer recognized). Their magic and their myth, the history and impact they have had upon the Cabal and the magic of the world.

Macropedia Terradoma, Imperium Edition began before the end of the Imperium. The Last Emperor hoped the scholars he chose would document the many successes of the Imperium and solidify both his and the dynasty's legacy. However, he passed heirless, and the "death spiral" to the Second Decline? began. The scholars chose to write as Scholars and not necessarily as puppets of the last dynasty of the Imperium. In E-Space's incarnation of Lexicon, players portray scholars from different eras, scholars who do not restrain themselves to being professionals. They are opinionated, eccentric, and confrontational. As scholars, the players collaborate with one another to construct the Macropedia, a widely published encyclopedia of human understanding.

The Lay of Kilde is a long, rambling and sometimes mythical history of an ancient City-State in a undefined fantasy world. It was written over the course of centuries by various scholars and historians from the aforementioned City-State - some of whom left their names, and some of whom did not. Their writing styles are archaic; at times the Lay is in poetic meter, elsewhere in prose. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they're talking in allegory, or using language that has long since lost its meaning. Its style varies from a King James Bible-esque religious text to almost modern histories, with everything in between.
The game is based around a number of scholars writing a series of commentaries on The Lay of Kilde.

Before the Second Great Interruption (2GI), there was a brief time of wonders - an entire region of space became the focus of a renaissance in fashion, art and story. Unfortunately, the fact that this era flowered just prior to the interruption in interstellar communications meant that many of the details from that time have faded away. Not quite disappeared, but fragmented. Entire works have been lost or changed or remain in title only.
The scholars of 2GI are an eccentric and argumentative mix of isolationists, religious fundamentalists, supermodels and wanted fugitives.

Being a Cyclopedia of Ages Past. The Scholar-gods and wise Exalted of the Forbidding Manse of Ivy hold endless knowledge; here they gather to reminisce upon fallen times. You are someone with extensive knowledge of ancient times, collaborating with a number of your peers on the construction of an encyclopedia describing the past ages of Creation from the Primordial War to the Terrestrial Shogunate. Note: this Lexicon still allows submissions, but regularly scheduled play has since vanished. As such, there's no "official" finishing date; the project died during Summer 2004 when ExaltedWiki was down for an extremely long period of time and no one could edit any pages (it had been winding down for ages, though). In order to hopefully eventually finish the thing, anyone who passes through is encouraged to fill out any of the remaining entries (without creating any new phantom citations), even if they've never done so before. Further Note: ExaltedWiki moved in January 2005, and therefore the Lexicon moved as well -- links have been updated.

- To the best of my knowledge, the ExaltedWiki user FourWillowsWeeping began this project, but I appear to have sort of taken it over since I'm the only one still regularly writing entries; you may feel free to contact me about it if you want. -- Shataina 06:45, 3 Dec 2004

It is assumed that at the time this encyclopedia is compiled, the average technology of the civilized parts of Fangor is generally equivalent to the European Medieval time period. For those who are more familiar with Fangor, it is assumed that this encyclopedia is compiled before the beginning of events known as kelKhazem Roc (the conquest and rule of much of the civilized world by dwarves). This event marks the end of the Second Age, and takes place sometime around SA 1200. Fangor is a setting that emphasizes realism. In this case, realism is defined as being plausible and fitting in logically with the assumptions of the world. Everything should have a plausible explanation (even if that explanation involves magic).

Fiery Dragon L-type Lexicon is a Lexicon game in which players will create a concordance to the fictional original video animation series Fiery Dragon L-type, including information about the characters, creators, and popular and critical reception of this anime. Fiery Dragon L-type is an OAV (Original Animation Video) anime series created by Akatsuka Eiji and his then-wife Juri, who released the series themselves through their fledgling company Studio Eijuri as thirteen DVDs, each one a 60-minute episode. The series was misunderstood by mainstream viewers and critics, although some voices in the small press hailed it as one of the finest achievements in the medium.

In the year 3216, Hegemony reckoning, the hyperspace route to long-lost Earth was rediscovered. The resulting century of war over who would possess the Homeworld reshaped the Galaxy. Now that the peace accords have been signed, and seem to be holding, a conclave of the Galaxy's preeminent scholars, representing the four great powers and all the planets, worldships, and inhabited constructs in between, has been called on neutral Autarch Prime, in the hundred and forty-fourth year after the reopening of the road to Earth, and the ninth year of peace, to reflect upon the decades of upheaval--political, military, economic, and cultural--that are now simply being called "The Homeworld War."

The Earth lost 500 years of its history, a time of wonder and accomplishment that will never come again and is forgotten to all but the Society of Flowers. A Rainbow Festival has been called to document these lost years and their glories. The erasure of a period of about 500 years happened a little over one hundred years ago when human history was set back en masse by a rogue Imperator. One day it was the year 2400, and space-ships plied the Aetheric Currents between earth and the colony worlds. The next day it was 1900 again, and the world, the history books and all (well, enough) mortal memory had been changed so that it seemed normal for it to be 1900. Naturally, what has happened since then has not conformed to what happened between 1900 and 2000 the first time around.

In the standard PARANOIA RPG, players become lowly Troubleshooters in service to The Computer. In this Lexicon game the players were nothing less than illustrious High Programmers who administered entire sectors of Alpha Complex. Last year the Toothpaste Disaster hit these Programmers' sectors. Fascinated high-clearance citizens across Alpha Complex sought to know more about this notorious event. The idea is to run a story-driven superhero campaign on an epic scale: it will not be restricted to any one city, country, planet, universe, alternate dimension, or temporal continuum. Power Levels are likewise encouraged to be awe-inspiring. Take the roles of globe-trotting journalists or academics and document the lives and times of the world's greatest superheroes and supervillains in the year 2005.
