Being a Cyclopedia of Ages Past: The Scholar-gods and wise Exalted of the Forbidding Manse of Ivy hold endless knowledge; here they gather to reminisce upon fallen times. You are also collaborating with a number of your peers on the construction of an encyclopedia describing the past ages of Creation: from the Primordial War to the Terrestrial Shogunate. Note: this Lexicon still allows submissions, but regularly scheduled play has since vanished. As such, there's no "official" finishing date, but they do suggest that the game wound down around June 24th, 2004, and that phantoms would be filled in randomly (but no new phantoms should be created). Last checked December 2nd, 2004; counts and barchart based on completed entries as of that date.

The Earth has long lain under the rule of Lord Entropy and his Code Fidelitatis as it fights the Valde Bellum, for good or ill depending on the viewpoint of the observer. A Rainbow Festival has been called to document the history, politics and features of the rule of the Council of Four (The Imperators who govern the physical side of Earth; led by LordEntropy and including Ananda, Ha-Qadosch Berakha and Surolam) and its impact.

The Earth lost 500 years of its history, a time of wonder and accomplishment that will never come again and is forgotten to all but the Society of Flowers. A Rainbow Festival has been called to document these lost years and their glories. The erasure of a period of about 500 years happened a little over one hundred years ago when human history was set back en masse by a rogue Imperator. One day it was the year 2400, and space-ships plied the Aetheric Currents between earth and the colony worlds. The next day it was 1900 again, and the world, the history books and all (well, enough) mortal memory had been changed so that it seemed normal for it to be 1900. Naturally, what has happened since then has not conformed to what happened between 1900 and 2000 the first time around.

The assembled scholars of the Rainbow Festival are famous for their colloquiums and encyclopedias of matters historical upon the World Ash. They have assembled to discuss the Second Age of Earth. The Second Age of Earth runs from Adam and Eve having their first child to the death of the Phoenix Family two thousand years later after Atrocity killed Heaven's gatekeeper.

In the standard PARANOIA RPG, players become lowly Troubleshooters in service to The Computer. In this Lexicon game the players were nothing less than illustrious High Programmers who administered entire sectors of Alpha Complex. Last year the Toothpaste Disaster hit these Programmers' sectors. Fascinated high-clearance citizens across Alpha Complex sought to know more about this notorious event. The Computer created a fact-finding panel to investigate the origins, determine the causes, and implicate the traitors involved in this chaotic, mysterious, and wide-ranging disaster.
