Ghyll:Regurgitation Revels

Regurgitation Revels is the name of an annual festival run by focused farmers in the Folktown area and, via Urching tracks, in Toria of the Dulalian Empire. During the festival, the farmers invite the public to partake of their carefully concocted private spitmounds, which they spend up to a year developing in seclusion before they are unveiled during the revels. Besides the spitmounds, the festival has included large amounts of alcoholic beverages, musical entertainment and dancing, making it a popular event for some of the locals. During the revels, personal differences are put aside and everyone involved dances together and laughes together and walks away feeling very satisfied, if a bit hyper from the sugar buzz. The farmers also make a great deal of money from selling drinks.

Although the revels are open to the general public, the farmers also make a point of specially inviting the Amphitheatre aristocracy. Most of the aristocracy stay away from the festival due to the controversy surrounding focused farming, but the farmers hope that as their methods become more accepted, more and more of the aristocrats will join in.

Although I am generally in favour of the spirit of sharing that is associated with public spitmounds, I must admit that while conducting active research in this year's festival, it did seem to me that the more carefully prepared spitmounds featured in the revels were tastier than your average public mound. The farmers were also kind enough to explain to me the special sanitary precautions they take when creating their mounds, and I am convinced that there is almost no chance of contracting a disease from the "focused" mounds. Having once been through a bout of left tibrations from an infected public spitmound, I can assure you that this is an important factor to consider.

The Third Annual Regurgitation Revels this year was their biggest yet, suggesting that as time goes on, more and more people are accepting the practice of focused farming. What this means for the future of spitmounds, only time will tell, but the Regurgitation Revels are a great place to be to find out.
