I took as my model (for relative size) the battlefield at Gettysburg.  Which is roughly 50 acres.  FWIW The dates are also realted to earth-relative dates.  --Dr. H. L. Ackroyd 16:14, 26 Jan 2005 (EST)

I'm concerned about these measurements. You know a lele is more than a mile, right? So, why people would, on "the Ween the 21 of Lom of -99 EC" (a single day), walk more than 80 miles (or hell, even 50 or 60 to fit it into the ASCII map) to burn someone alive, especially when that journey takes them near the "feared" Alezan (though, also, near the Dagger Seas, which could be some weird death-by-sea ritual), is confusing. A walk of 50 or 60 miles is a hard journey for anyone, much less an angry mob who wants revenge and retribution right now. I'm not even sure where the Plain fits in to this effigy burning, etc. --Morbus Iff 14:32, 30 Jan 2005 (EST)

Alright, the only way a "1250 square sugro-nanit" anything is gonna fit in the current map is if it is above the Sarfelogian Mountains. Is that what you had in mind? It'd certainly fit that a "Ridge" would be in the Mountains, and the Cataract Road will just get a little longer (so that it'll pass through the Evesque Valley, as well as the Sarfelogian Mountains). There still remains the problem above, but also the oddness in your reference to Mount Yurch. --Morbus Iff 19:33, 30 Jan 2005 (EST)

I had imagined the Plain of Brahang as a rather larger place, but hey, it's all good. --Jcowan 14:48, 26 Jan 2005 (EST)

I took as my model (for relative size) the battlefield at Gettysburg. Which is roughly 50 acres. FWIW The dates are also related to earth-relative dates. --Dr. H. L. Ackroyd 16:14, 26 Jan 2005 (EST)

That'd work for me - wanna re-edit your entry to match 'em? The previous value for Mount Yurch put it far far far far in the Middle of Undefined, and your unedited would too (previously, Mount Yurch would have pan-handled below the Dagger Seas, and yours would have panhandled above the Dagger Seas). Your edits keep it more in line (but'll put it closer to Alezan). We're doing an ASCII map, because I (for one) want something that all of us could edit should the prime mapmaker disappear. I had liked http://www.dundjinn.com (Mac/PC, lots of maps, support), but some folks seem worried about the amount of time invested vs. quality of the final output. --Morbus Iff 19:48, 28 Jan 2005 (EST)
