Blipverts: Too Square To Be Hip
125 x 125-pixel format Web ads never gained much traction in the minds of Web marketers. These peculiar animated ads - often called "blipverts" - were too small to convey the rich information of a 468 x 60 full banner and too big to place flexibly in a standard Web page. Consequently, today they're practically extinct, but I've dug up a bunch of oldies for your amusement from the creaky old servers of Wired Magazine.
